Iqbal Miyan Malik has been arrested for insulting Lord Shri Ram in Vadodara, Gujarat. Actually, Iqbal Miyan’s marriage was fixed with a Muslim girl, but later the girl got married somewhere else. Angered by this, Iqbal had created fake social media accounts in the name of the girl and her sister-in-law and made offensive posts.
According to media reports, the case pertains to Shinor police station area in Vadodara. A young man who lives here had said in his report to the police that there are fake accounts on Snapchat and Instagram in the names of his sister and wife. Offensive posts are made from these accounts. It was said in the complaint that his sister had sent screenshots of these fake accounts.

According to the complaint, these screenshots contained objectionable photos of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram. In this photo, the accused had placed a pig emoji in the hand of Lord Ram. In addition, offensive text was written under the image. Apart from this, he also wrote the girl’s mobile number and asked people to call her.
On this whole issue, OpIndia spoke to Sub-Inspector AR Mahida of Shinor Police Station. He said, “The complainant is a resident of Shinor taluka village of Puniyad. The accused had created three fake accounts on Snapchat and Instagram in the name of the complainant’s wife. Through these accounts, he used to share pictures of the complainant’s wife and sister.”
Sub-Inspector Mahida further said, “Accused Iqbal Miyan had made offensive posts on Snapchat using the photo of Lord Shri Ram. While the number of the complainant’s sister was made ‘viral’, it was also written, ‘Whoever has the guts should call this number'” . “Following the youth’s complaint, a technical investigation was initiated.”
He said, “In the investigation, along with Snapchat, Instagram accounts have also been found. On checking these accounts, an email ID was found. On checking the email ID, a mobile number was revealed. On checking the said mobile number, it was found that it belonged to Iqbal Mian, a resident of Bakrol village.“After identifying the accused, a team was sent and the accused was arrested.”
The sub-inspector said, “All the fake accounts and objectionable material posted on it were also found in the phone recovered from him. The marriage of the wife of the complainant young man was fixed with the accused Iqbal Mian, but after this the girl was not married to him. Iqbal Miyan , angry at this, carried out this whole incident by creating a fake account to take revenge from the girl.”
