Kylie Jenner is re-shooting a makeup artist who questioned her Kylie Cosmetics safety practices.

On Wednesday, cosmetics developer Kevin James Bennett called out the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star over photos of her working with cosmetics “in the lab” in Italy, captioning the shots she shared on Instagram earlier that day.

The 24-year-old beauty mogul came under fire after fans noticed she wasn’t wearing a hat and gloves while handling the products in the photos. Bennett shared the same view and accused Jenner of allegedly “shining a spotlight on her followers to think she makes cosmetics”.

Jenner clapped again at the makeup artist, commenting on the post: “Kevin – This photo was not taken in a manufacturing facility. I will never go above sanitary protocols, nor will I overstep any other celebrity or beauty brand owner. This is completely unacceptable, I agree, According to Us Weekly.

The Kylie Cosmetics founder continued, “This is a small personal space that creates my own fun samples and shoots content for anywhere near mass manufacturing. Nobody puts customers at risk!”

Aside from giving Bennett an explanation, Jenner also criticized the beauty influencer for allegedly spreading false news. “Shame on you Kevin for spreading false information,” she wrote.

After Jenner responded, Bennett doubled down on his comments and claimed the reality star was lying.

“Are you seriously going to lie and then troll me? Cool,” he replied, along with a rolling eyes emoji.

“Were you there, Kevin?” Jenner responded, before making a joke about one of her several greyhounds. “Ah now I have to change my dog’s name.”

In his initial message, Bennett shared screenshots of Jenner on his Instagram account and wrote that Kardashian-Jenner fans “are coming for my throat because I’m calling their beauty queen…but WTF.”

Bennett said he has worked with cosmetic manufacturers as part of his job, and that he was “never allowed into the lab or manufacturing floor without a hairnet, shoe covers, mask and disposable gloves.”

“This is not how we make cosmetics and it distorts how our industry operates. Trusted manufacturers follow strict sanitation protocols to protect you,” he added in the caption, alongside the hashtags “ShameOnYou” and “KylieJenner.”
