A man tortured a lady doctor in the office of SHO of Haroonabad area of Bahawalnagar district of Punjab.
A video of violence against a lady doctor named Maryam Hussain is going viral on social media, in which it can be seen that a man in a white shirt and shalwar starts beating a woman.
The video also shows the woman falling to the ground during the beating, after which she resists, with other people in the office, including the SHO, intervening.
The SHO slaps the person who tortured the lady doctor and sends him out of the office.

A video message of the victim, Dr. Maryam Hussain, has also surfaced, in which the victim says that she was tortured at the Haroonabad police station on June 24 at her request because of her private affairs with her husband. Made
“I was a victim of domestic violence. My husband was addicted to ice. My husband told me to come to the police station and beat me up by sending thugs. My bones were also broken during the violence,” she said.

“I have not yet received justice after the violence. I live alone with my four children and my life is in danger. I urge the authorities above to arrest the culprits soon,” she said.
Provincial Minister Ataullah Tarard said the government had taken notice of the tragic incident and suspended the SHO because the incident took place in his office. The accused who assaulted the woman has been released on bail but we have filed a petition for her re-arrest.
