Devin Booker scored 35 points, Deandre Ayton added 27 with 12 rebounds and the NBA-leading Phoenix Suns beat the Indiana Pacers 112-94.
Chris Paul had 12 points and nine assists for Phoenix and Cam Payne had 11 points and five assists. The Suns finished the first half of the season 32-9, the second-best record in franchise history.
Justin Holiday had 25 points for Indiana, Caris LeVert had 20, while Domantas Sabonis had 14 and grabbed 14 rebounds. The Pacers lost for the third time in a row and for the ninth time in their last 10 games.
JOEL EMBIID had 25 points and 13 rebounds for the Philadelphia 76ers, who impressed early in the game and ended up beating the Boston Celtics 111-99.
Embiid fell five points short of breaking a franchise record with nine straight games scoring 30 or more points. He resigned himself to a tie at eight with Allen Iverson and Wilt Chamberlain.
THE MAGIC of Orlando defeated the Charlotte Hornets 116-109, to end a 10-game losing streak.
Gary Harris added 18 points for Orlando (8-35), which hadn’t won since before Christmas.
PIVOT Trey Lyles scored 21 points, Cade Cunningham and Hamidou Diallo contributed 18 apiece, and the Detroit Pistons extended their surprise streak, beating the Toronto Raptors 103-87.
The Pistons are 5-3 so far in 2022 after finishing 2021 with 18 stumbles in their last 19 games.-AP
