New Delhi: The country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India on Friday reported a net profit growth of 51.14% to Rs 1,875.8 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2022.
Maruti Suzuki India said in a regulatory filing that the company had posted a net profit of Rs 1,241.1 crore in the same period last fiscal. It added that the total revenue from operations stood at Rs 26,749.2 crore as against Rs 24,034.5 crore in the fourth quarter a year ago.
Total vehicle sales in the quarter under review stood at 4,88,830 units, down 0.7 percent from the same period last year. The company said domestic sales were at 4,20,376 units, down 8% from Q4 FY21, adding that exports were at 68,454 units, the highest ever in any quarter.
For the fiscal year ended March 31, 2022, the company stated that its gross net profit stood at Rs 3,879.5 crore as against Rs 4,389.1 crore in FY21, down 11.6 per cent. He further said that the total revenue from operations in FY 22 was Rs 88,329.8 crore which was Rs 70,372 crore in FY 21.
