Ministry of Finance’s July-March Economic Performance Report released
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Ministry of Finance has released the economic performance report for July-March.
According to the economic performance report of the Ministry of Finance, from July to March 2021-22, taxes of Rs. 4383 billion were collected. Non-tax revenue stood at Rs 982 billion as against Rs 1227 billion in July-March last financial year.
From July to March, government expenditure stood at Rs. 8429 billion. Rs 2118 billion was paid on interest and loan repayment whereas in the last 9 months of the financial year, Rs 2103 billion was paid on debt and interest. Defense expenditure stood at Rs 881 billion.
The budget deficit during July-March was Rs. 3165 billion as against Rs. 2064 billion in July-March last financial year. Rs 395 billion was paid in pensions in Nomah. In the last financial year, Rs 329 billion was spent on pensions from July to March. During July-March, Rs 575 billion was spent on subsidies whereas Rs 204 billion was spent on subsidies in the first nine months of last financial year.
