Ujjain (Naiduniya Representative). Two years ago, on May 19, 2021, in a meeting with public representatives in Ujjain, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had approved the years-old demand for opening a government medical college in the city. However, there was a debate about the affiliation and location of the college. The Vice Chancellor of Vikram University, educationist and leaders associated with BJP and people associated with the university argue that the college should get affiliation from the university itself. Here, the district administration has also reserved 4.934 hectares of land with a ginning factory worth Rs 400 crore lying vacant near Charak Hospital for the construction of the college building.
