Mukesh Ambani will continue to provide hands-on leadership and work with the existing leaders and Board of Directors to make Reliance more robust, sustainable and truly future-ready.

Strengthening Reliance’s institutional support by enriching Reliance’s leadership capital and institutional culture along with a robust governance framework to ensure accountability at all levels was another area of focus at the AGM.

Creating a robust architecture for the Reliance of tomorrow to ensure that it remains a unified, well-integrated and secure entity even as it grows existing businesses and adds new growth engines, Ambani stressed.

VK Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist, Geojit Financial Services, said, “The highlight of the AGM was Mukesh Ambani’s emphasis on succession planning. He concluded his address by asking for everyone’s blessings for Gen Next to confidently take over the reins of power.

“With Akash heading Jio, Isha heading retail and Anant heading energy, the plans are clearly spelled out. Mukesh Ambani’s promise to double the company’s value by 2027 is reassuring. His commitment to India and his belief in India’s development story remain as strong as ever.”
