Islam Abad: The FIA ​​has revealed that NADRA’s biometric data has been hacked, which is increasing the problems.

According to Express News, the FIA ​​revealed this at a meeting of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Information Technology, which was chaired by Ali Khan Jadoon.

Briefing the participants, Additional Director FIA Tariq Pervez revealed that NADRA’s biometric data has been hacked and said that problems have increased due to hacking of NADRA’s data, hackers easily commit fraud by hacking biometric data. When someone is caught, an old man or an old woman comes out. We have received 89,000 complaints of cyber crimes while the FIA ​​has only 162 IT experts.

During the meeting, the Chairman PTA revealed that there is no eye database in Pakistan. Referring to social media, he said that no Pakistani law applies to social media while content published on social media cannot be removed, only social media services can be shut down in Pakistan.

The chairman of the standing committee questioned what steps the PTA had taken to curb the sale of illegal SIMs. On which Chairman PTA Amir Azeem Bajwa said that a complaint can be lodged against the sender of the message of financial fraud on the website of PTA.

Chairman PTA said that PTA has not allowed any mobile phone company to sell door-to-door SIMs. Mobile operators have fined the franchisees Rs 23 million, 26,000 illegal SIMs have been identified in October this year alone.

Chairman PTA Amir Azeem Bajwa said that content published on social media cannot be removed, only social media services in Pakistan can be shut down.
