‘National Assembly doors closed for Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Fawad Chaudhry and others, no return’ Pi News

Federal Law Minister Nazir Tarar has said that the door of return has been closed for those members who have confirmed their resignations on the floor of the Assembly.

Speaking on Geo News program Capital Talk, Azam Nazir Tarar said that there was no way back for the members of the Assembly who have confirmed the floor of the house with their written resignations.

Azam Nazir Tarar said that these members of the assembly include PTI chairman Imran Khan, vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, senior leader Shirin Mazari, Fawad Chaudhry and 7 to 8 others.

He said that for the members of the National Assembly whom I have just lost, I think the doors of the National Assembly are legally closed. Because he has formally confirmed his written resignations in the House.

He said that all these members had announced their resignations while addressing the Speaker of the National Assembly.

It may be recalled that the Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf summoned the PTI members to confirm the resignations. Letters have been issued to the resigned members by the Assembly Secretariat.

A statement issued by the spokesperson of the National Assembly said that Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf has summoned the PTI members on June 6 to confirm their resignations. The process of confirmation of resignations will continue till June 10.

The spokesman said that the number of resigned PTI members is 131. The Speaker National Assembly has decided that he will meet 30 resigned members daily. Each member has five minutes to confirm the resignations. Talks will be held with them during this time.

A statement issued by PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said that during the meeting of the core committee headed by Imran Khan, there was a lot of discussion on whether to go to the assembly or not. However, it was decided at the core committee meeting that he would not return to the assembly for the time being.

Fawad Chaudhry said that the government was thinking of accepting the individual resignations of PTI assembly members. However, if this is done then we will knock on the door of the court because we have all resigned, therefore the resignations of all must be accepted.
