In a statement to the media, MLA Nizam Uddin Chowdhury expressed his displeasure over the Hailakandi district administration. MLA Chowdhury alleges that the Hailakandi district administration did not provide assistance to the affected people following the directive of Chief Minister Himanta Bishwa Sharma. MLA Chowdhury also alleged that the Deputy Chief Minister Rohan Kumar Jhai had given false information to the Chief Minister in a video conference. In addition, MLA Lashkar-e-Taiba alleges that none of the government issues, including the cycle issue, have reached the Banakranta area.

It may be mentioned here that 2926 people from 20 villages of Hailakandi district have been affected by the ban through video conferencing of the Chief Minister, said the appropriate Rohan Kumar Jhai. The Chief Minister also said that the situation in the district was normal.
