Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said that despite economic difficulties, the federal government is not making any cuts in the development budget of Azad Kashmir.
He said that we will pay full share of development budget to Azad Kashmir and at the same time we will try not to make any cut in non-development budget.
Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal expressed these views during a meeting with President Azad Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry.
Ahsan Iqbal assured the President of Azad Kashmir that the federal government would continue to release funds for the timely completion of new projects as well as ongoing projects.
President Azad Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry invited the Federal Minister for Planning and Development to visit Azad Kashmir, which was accepted by Ahsan Iqbal. He said that he would soon pay a detailed visit to Azad Kashmir.
Earlier, the President of Azad Kashmir briefed the Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal on the economic problems of Azad Kashmir.
He said that the federation needs to pay direct attention to the timely completion of ongoing projects in Azad Kashmir and launch of new projects so that the construction and development process in the region could continue without any hindrance.
