Karachi: According to the State Bank, Pakistanis abroad sent $2 billion to Pakistan in February.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan, deliveries in February were 4.9 percent higher than in January this year. Workers’ transfers in January were $1.89 billion.
In February this year, Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia sent $454.6 million. Remittances of $32.4 million came from the United Arab Emirates and $31.70 million from the United Kingdom. Pakistanis living in America sent $21.94 million to Pakistan. Compared to February last year, transfers this year are 9.5% less.

According to the State Bank, workers’ remittances in the first 8 months of this fiscal year were $18 billion. Remittances for the eight months of the current fiscal year are 10.8% less than the same period last fiscal year.
