The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sacked former Test spinner Nadeem Khan, elder brother of former cricketer Moin Khan, TV channel 24NewsHD reported on Thursday.

According to sources, the PCB issued a termination letter to Nadeem Khan on Tuesday.

It is pertinent to note that Nadeem Khan was appointed during Ehsan Mani’s tenure and he also served as Home Affairs Director and Director of National Cricket Academy, formerly known as PCB High-Performance Centre.

The sources also revealed that Nadeem Khan was in the UK with his family for a few weeks.

After the domestic system was changed during Imran Khan’s tenure, Nadeem Khan appointed coaches across the country and took many other important decisions.

But since the revival of Najam Sethi’s management committee, his job was in danger. His salary was cut a few weeks ago and he was also moved to the women’s wing.

The Sethi-led committee overruled him and appointed PCB Management Committee member Azad Syed as the head of the National Academy.

It should also be noted that he is the second former director to be sacked after Director HR Sarina Agha.
