Pakistan Navy Ship Alamgir Visits Kenya Under Engage Africa Policy

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Navy’s Alamgir Ship visited Mombasa, Kenya as part of its deployment in the international seas in the African region.

Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Kenya, Pakistan’s Defense Attach اور and senior Kenyan naval officials welcomed the Pakistani navy ship on arrival at the port.

During his visit to the port, the Mission Commander, along with the Commanding Officer of PNS Alamgir, met with the Cabinet Secretary of Defense of Kenya and the Deputy Commander of the Kenyan Navy. During the meeting, the two sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhance bilateral relations in all fields apart from discussing issues of mutual interest. The Mission Commander conveyed a message of good wishes from the Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi to the people of Kenya.

Free medical camp was organized by Pakistan Navy in the spirit of goodwill and humanitarian sympathy. A special team of Pakistan Navy doctors and paramedics provided medical treatment and medicines to more than 5,400 patients. During the medical camp, implementation of Coveid 19-SOPs was ensured. The establishment of a free medical camp by the Pakistan Navy was much appreciated by the locals.

Since November 2021, PNS Global has provided goodwill treatments and medicines to more than 15,000 patients in five African countries. The visit of PNS Alamgir is a reflection of the Government of Pakistan’s policy towards African countries which will strengthen bilateral relations and promote mutual cooperation with African countries.
