Peaky Blinders star found with cocaine pleads guilty Pi News

The actor is best known for his role as Arthur Shelby in the period crime show co-starring Cillian Murphy.

Anderson, who appeared in court on Thursday, January 26, was caught by police with the Class A drug and a pipe to smoke, according to MailOnline.

The Peaky Blinders star admitted possession of Class B amphetamines and two prescription Class C substances, along with Class A drugs.

Anderson was found with the substances after visiting a local pub in Hampstead, London.

The manager said he smelled cocaine on the disabled worker after the actor left them.

Prosecutors later took Anderson to the police station, where they found cocaine and other amphetamines in his possession.

During the interview, the Peaky Blinders star answered “no comment” to all questions, and it was later reported that he tested positive for opiates and cocaine instead of cocaine.

Anderson pleaded guilty to all four drug charges after appearing in the Magistrates Court.

The actor’s lawyer said that Anderson often infiltrates his “Picky Blinders” character Arthur Shelby: “You will recognize the defendant from his recent very intense role in the television program.

“He is often recognized and gets into character and does his best to please the fans of the show.

“He was known on Boxing Day and tried to play for those people.

“And because of the lifestyle he leads, people often encourage him.”

Anderson’s lawyer added: “He put himself in an unfortunate position and should have had the strength to say no.”

The Peaky Blinders star was fined £1,345 after appearing at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (January 25).

Discussing Anderson’s Met Police service, a statement to Metro said: “Police were called to West End Lane in Camden at 6.30pm on 26 December 2023. Officers attended and arrested a man.

“Paul Anderson, 48 (12/02/75), of West Hempstead, was later charged with two counts of possession of Class A drugs and two counts of possession of Class C drugs.

“He appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 25.”
