Rawalpindi: Peshawar Zalmi defeated Karachi Kings by 24 runs in the 17th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
According to the details, Karachi Kings won the match played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and invited Peshawar Zalmi to bat, who scored 197 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Rowman Powell was the leading batsman with 64 runs while Tom Koehler Cadmore scored 56, Haseebullah Khan 50, Aamir Jamal 13 and Saeem Ayub scored 1.
Mohammad Amir was the most successful bowler for Karachi Kings taking 4 wickets for 26 runs in 4 overs while Tabriz Shamsi took one wicket.
Chasing the target, Karachi Kings could only score 173 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and thus faced defeat by 24 runs.
Captain Imad Wasim played an unbeaten innings of 57 runs but could not win his team while Matthew Wade 53, Adam Rossington 15, Tayyab Tahir 6, Irfan Khan 4, Shoaib Malik 1, Ben Cutting 15, Aamir Yameen 8 and Akif Javed could score 7 runs.
On behalf of Peshawar Zalmi, Azmatullah Umarzai and Aamir Jamal guided 3.3 wickets to the pavilion while Mujeebur Rahman took 2 wickets.
