The Slinky Opera House’s 25th birthday party was held last month, and to mark the occasion, the Daily Echo is looking at more photos of Slinky’s Nights from the past.
Although these photos are usually taken at the Opera House at the Slinky Winter Ball which was held at the Bournemouth International Center in 1998.
Bournemouth-born Slinky is one of the biggest trance brands of all time, enjoying global success and helping to put the UK trance scene on the map.

But it wasn’t just about CD sales or merchandise – it was because they threw some of the best gigs with many of the biggest DJs.
Slinky’s original home was at the Opera House – now o2 Academy Bournemouth – but their fans also enjoyed nights at BIC, and later at Halo.
Slinky returned to 02 Academy last month – its spiritual home – on February 4, 2023, when legendary DJ Paul Van Dyke confirmed the night had gone off with a bang.
