Piers Morgan has been brainwashed by a Tory MP after he shared a picture to The Times saying ‘you won’t see this on the MSM’.
Conservative Party deputy chairman Lee Anderson tweeted a picture of Rishi Sunak with a Times headline underneath that read: “UK economy returns to growth in January”.
Anderson commented, “To get there. You won’t see this on the MSM.”
MSM is short for “Major Media” and is usually associated with large media outlets.
The Times is part of the media giant News UK, owned by billionaire Rupert Murdoch.
Morgan, presenter of TalkTV-owned News UK, commented with a laughing face emoji: “This is literally a screenshot from MSM.”
Others in the News UK empire also tweeted on their entertainment site, including Times columnist and Times radio presenter Hugo Rifkind who said: “A big shout out to my colleagues in the dissident opposition media”.
One Twitter user added: “Ah yeah, that famously unknown subversive post *checks notes* The Times.”
Another added: “The Times is literally MSM to me.” While one reporter wrote: “I refuse to believe it’s real at this point.”
The outspoken MP is no stranger to controversy, having previously criticized people who use food banks.
He was branded a “30p Lee” after claiming that food banks weren’t really necessary because people could cook meals for 30p a day.
When he was a candidate, he proposed that tenants opposed to the Social Council be forced to live in tents and pick vegetables.
He also vowed to boycott England’s matches at Euro 2020 in protest of the players’ anti-racism stance of taking a knee before matches.
Recently he became the latest member of the Conservative Party to get his own show on JP News.
Ashfield MP joins fellow Conservatives Jacob Rees-Mogg, Esther McVey and Philip Davies in presenting his own show on the channel.
Anderson is a former coal miner who was a Labor advisor in Ashfield before he split from the Conservative Party in 2018 and went on to serve as a Mansfield Conservative.
