Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed concern over the Assam floods. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has come to know about the recent situation in the state which has been in turmoil for the past few days. Today, he expresses his thoughts on Twitter and sends his message in Assamese.

Modi said, “In the last few days, heavy rains have caused floods in different parts of Assam.

Due to heavy rainfall over the last few days, floods have been reported in different parts of Assam. The Central Government has been closely monitoring the situation in Assam and working closely with the State Governments to provide all possible assistance to meet this challenge.

Following the PM’s tweet, Chief Minister Himanta Bishwa Sharma thanked Modi.

It is to be noted that more than 10 days have passed since the catastrophic floods in Assam. In particular, Namni Assam, Barak Valley and Central Assam are the second most affected forests of the year.
