The relationship between the Army Chief and the Prime Minister is ideal, Special Assistant

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Political Affairs Amir Dogar said that in view of the specific situation in Afghanistan, Prime Minister Imran Khan wanted Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed to remain in the post of DG ISI.

According to the notification issued by ISPR, Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed has been removed from the post of DG ISI and appointed Corps Commander Peshawar. He will be replaced by Lieutenant General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum, Director General Inter Services Intelligence. The Prime Minister’s House has not yet issued a notification in this regard.

Speaking on SAMAA’s Nadeem Malik Live program, PTI leader Amir Dogar said that in today’s federal cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan took all the members into confidence on the issue. Have a perfect relationship.

He said the prime minister had told the cabinet meeting that he wanted Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed to remain in the post of DG ISI for a few more months until the situation in Afghanistan stabilized.

Aamir Dogar further said that there was a long meeting between the Prime Minister and the Army Chief last night, in which it was decided that now according to the rules, 3 or 5 more names will come from there, from which the Prime Minister will choose one. ۔

He said the prime minister had no personal likes or dislikes but perhaps there was a shortcoming in the procedure. Amir Dogar said that the Prime Minister said that General Nadeem Anjum is a good general, I have no objection to his name but matters should be in accordance with the rules.

The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister said that the Prime Minister said that in view of the specific situation in the region, we do not want the morale of the army to go down or we should underestimate them.

Amir Dogar also said that the body language of the Prime Minister was positive in today’s cabinet meeting, the atmosphere being created by the opposition is not going to happen.

The Special Assistant said that the Prime Minister is an honest man and believes in the rule of law. He clarified that he is the Prime Minister elected by the people and the Chief Executive of the country.

He said that Imran Khan also called the United States ‘absolutely not’, while also asking the Army Chief to complete the matter according to the rules. According to Aamir Dogar, Prime Minister Imran Khan said in the cabinet meeting that he was not a rubber stamp.

The PTI leader said that Army Chief and Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed was very supportive of the democratic system and it would have been appropriate if the matter had not reached this point.

Talking on the occasion, PML-N leader Musaddiq Malik said that the Prime Minister’s House has a special attitude on this important issue, otherwise why did Fawad Chaudhry need a press conference on this issue.

Musaddiq Malik said that if the Prime Minister wanted the present DG ISI to remain, then the matter should have been resolved through consultation, the matter should not have reached the press conference.

The PML-N leader said that the issue here is also of Imran Khan’s ego. What he did with Majid Khan in cricket and Jahangir Tareen in politics is a link in the same chain.

Commenting on the issue, PPP leader and former federal minister Qamar Zaman Kaira said that such a situation is not beneficial for any country, the situation of tension will be detrimental to the country.

Qamar Zaman Kaira said that before today the government was denying but now it is being said that matters will be resolved soon. Imran Khan could not give relief to the people. Now he wants to divert the attention of the people. There will be more damage.
