Islamabad: (Web Desk) State President Dr. Arif Alvi has announced that the Punjab Assembly general elections will be held on April 30, Sunday.
The Chairman announced the date after considering the dates suggested by the Election Commission.
The Election Commission had proposed dates for the conduct of the Punjab Assembly general elections between April 30 and May 7.
Earlier, the important meeting of Election Commission was held under the chairmanship of Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja, after which a letter was sent by the Election Commission to the President. Dates from to May 7, 2023 have been proposed.
The letter said that after the selection of the date by the president, the electoral commission is ready to carry out its constitutional and legal duties.
