Doha: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has met the Emir of Qatar, where discussions were held on strengthening bilateral cooperation with Qatar and increasing the ways and means of bilateral investment, trade and export of skilled people from Pakistan to Qatar.
After arriving in Doha, Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif met with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Qatar to attend the fifth session of the Conference of Least Developed Countries under the auspices of the United Nations. The Prime Minister is attending this conference at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed broader issues of mutual interest and discussed ways to further enhance the excellent cooperation between Pakistan and Qatar in other areas, including economy and investment.
The Emir of Qatar appreciated the efforts of the Pakistani workers in the development of Qatar and particularly appreciated the excellent performance of the Pakistani security agencies in connection with the successful hosting of the 2022 FIFA World Cup hosted by Qatar.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated Qatar’s continuous support in Pakistan’s development projects and highlighted the great opportunities to increase cooperation between the two countries.
Discussions were held on strengthening bilateral cooperation with Qatar and increasing bilateral investment, trade and ways to export skilled people from Pakistan to Qatar.
Emir of Qatar welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on his arrival in Qatar. He expressed great interest in increasing economic cooperation between Pakistan and Qatar. He reiterated Qatar’s firm commitment and continued support for Pakistan’s development agenda.
The Prime Minister invited the Emir of Qatar to visit Pakistan, which he accepted.
