A video of a Muslim professor offering Namaz at the Shri Varshney College campus in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh has surfaced on social media. After watching this video, Hinduist organizations have objected to the Namaz offered by the professor in the college premises. At the same time, the principal of the college has also given necessary orders for departmental inquiry in this matter.
BJP leader Amit Goswami has demanded action after watching this video. He has identified the teacher as SR Khalid and requested him to take immediate action in the matter. According to Goswami, Professor Khalid is a member of the Law Faculty of the college and thus he is trying to disturb the peace and order in the college by offering prayers in the campus, spreading segregation on the basis of religion in the college.

After watching his video, Amit spoke to the college principal. However, no action has been taken against the professor yet. College Principal and Professor Anil Gupta has said in relation to the matter, “A committee will be formed. Then action will be taken based on the report. We cannot encourage such acts in the college.”

On the other hand, BJP youth wing workers have threatened to recite Hanuman Chalisa inside the campus if action is not taken against the professor. According to Amit Goswami, earlier this issue was raised by the students of the college but the administration did not act on it. After this he got this video. Now 48 hours ultimatum was given for FIR. According to media reports, when Professor Khalid was asked to comment on this subject, he refused to comment. At the same time, Circle Officer Manish Kumar Shandilya said that no FIR has been registered in the case so far.
