Protest against possible arrest of Imran Khan, all named accused released from case – Pakistan

All the accused named in the case protesting the possible arrest of Imran Khan were discharged from the case by the special judicial judge.

The court observed in its judgment that as per the FIR, some policemen were injured, who were admitted to the hospital, no MLC of the policemen was made a part of the police file.

The court said that the presented accused have been nominated in place of the unknown accused, the 2 accused presented in the court are also minors, there is no evidence against the accused to justify their involvement in the crime.

The court also rejected the request to send the arrested 4 accused to judicial custody, 35 accused including former MNA Rashid Shafiq, former members of Punjab Assembly Ijaz Khan Jazzi, former Deputy Speaker of Punjab Assembly Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi were named in the case.
