Punjab Food Authority in action, 500 liters of unhealthy milk destroyed
Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has thwarted the attempt to supply adulterated milk in Rawalpindi and Jhelum.
According to the details, 28120 liters of milk was inspected with the latest mobile testing machines after which 500 liters of unhealthy milk has been disposed off.
In Jhelum, 4000 liters of milk was inspected and 1100 liters of adulterated milk was destroyed.
DG Punjab Food Authority Rafaqat Ali Niswana said that unhealthy milk was destroyed due to poor results of samples taken on the spot while defective milk was being supplied to Rawalpindi from Mandi Bahauddin.
Rafaqat Ali Niswana said that water and chemicals were mixed in the destroyed milk. A grand operation is underway across the province against the adulteration mafia.
He further said that the people are requested to join us in identifying the adulterators of milk and visit the nearest office of Punjab Food Authority for free testing of milk.
