Taking on the BJP, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took to social media to say that religion should be followed in politics, politics should not be done for religion. Congress believes in brotherhood and participation of all for the good of the country. The Congress leader said that he is religious but does not like to wear it on his sleeve and believes that religion should never be used for personal gain.
Rahul said he believes in Hindutva but does not believe in pretending. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra reached Nagaland on Tuesday. In this he termed the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya as a political event. He said it would be difficult for Congress leaders to attend the holy ceremony on January 22 as the BJP and RSS had turned it into a political event aimed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In this regard, all the four Shankaracharyas said that this is not a religious phenomenon. That’s why he won’t leave. How can you be a part of this that is not religious at all in this situation?
The journey started from Visvema on the third day.
On the third day of his journey, Rahul started the journey from Viswema. He then paid his respects at the Kohima War Cemetery. From there Phulbari reached Kohima. From here he reached the Secret College grounds and addressed the media. From here the Yatra reached the Rengma Sports Ground, from where the Yatra halted at Woxa itself traveling up to Chuk Tong.
