B.C.’s northern mountains have released video of an armed robbery at a gas station nearly two months ago in hopes of identifying a suspect.

On Dec. 18, Prince George RCMP say a suspect entered a business on Carmel Drive near Teichman Road around 6:30 p.m., pointed a gun at an employee and demanded money from the register, according to a media report.

“Officers flooded the area and followed the suspect’s tracks for several blocks, where they found him getting into a waiting vehicle and leaving the area,” said spokesman Cpl. Jennifer Cooper said.

In the video, the armed man can be seen threatening the employee, demanding he put the money in a backpack and grabbing it from the cash register before going behind the counter. The video ends with the suspect fleeing the business and “no idea.”

The man had his face covered and was wearing a black hoodie with “a photo of McLovin’s ID from Superbad on the front,” police said.

Anyone with information or who recognizes the suspect should call 250-561-3300.
