KRIMINCHOWK: Russia says a missile strike on a shopping center in a central Ukrainian city has killed at least 11 people and injured 40 others.

According to foreign media, senior Ukrainian officials say Russia fired two missiles at a shopping center in the central Ukrainian city of Kremenchok, setting the shopping center on fire. The fire engulfed the entire shopping center at first sight.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said more than 1,000 people were in the mall when the shopping center was attacked.

Central Poltava Region Governor Dimitro Lonin confirmed the deaths of 11 people in the attack, saying rescue workers were removing debris and more bodies were expected to be found under the rubble.

“This is an act of terrorism against civilians. There was no military target nearby that Russia could target,” he said.
