Several Pakistanis arrested from Madinah over incident of Masjid Nabavi (SAW)

Islamabad (92 News) Several Pakistanis were arrested from Madinah on the incident of Masjid Nabavi (SAW).

This was confirmed by the Saudi embassy in Islamabad on Friday.

A spokesman for the Saudi embassy said some Pakistanis had been arrested for disrespecting the sanctity of the holy site. He said the protesters had been detained for “violating the rules” and “disrespecting” the sanctity of the holy mosque.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif arrived in Madinah on a three-day official visit. He is accompanied by a high level delegation including Federal Ministers Bilawal Bhutto, Muftah Ismail, Nawabzada Shah Zain Bugti, Maryam Aurangzeb, Khawaja Asif, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Mohsin Dawar.

During a visit to the Prophet’s Mosque, some Pakistani pilgrims started chanting slogans as soon as they saw the Prime Minister.

In one video, pilgrims can be seen chanting slogans against federal ministers Maryam Aurangzeb and Shahzain Bugti as they were being escorted by Saudi guards. A pilgrim was also seen pulling Bugti’s hair from behind.
