KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has ordered demolition of another illegally constructed five-storey building in Karachi.

The Sindh High Court heard a petition regarding a five-storey building being constructed illegally in MPR Colony. The court directed the SBCA to take action against the illegal constructions. He also demanded a report in a month and a half after removing illegal constructions. The Sindh Building Control Authority was also barred from registering an illegally constructed building in MPR Colony. K Electric, SSG and Water Board were also barred from providing connection to the building.

The Sindh Building Control Authority had submitted a report on the construction of a five-storey illegal building. According to the report, no approval has been sought for the building to be constructed in MPR Colony. The area of ​​MPR Colony falls under Katchiabad Gothabad Scheme where such constructions are not permitted. The five-storey building being constructed in MPR Colony is against Karachi Building and Town Planning Rules. Law enforcement agencies have been asked to assist in the demolition of illegal structures.

Petitioner Arif Shah said that a five storied building was being constructed illegally in MPR Colony without any permission. Sindh Building Control Authority should be ordered to take action against illegal constructions.
