Senior Member Board of Revenue (SMBR) Nabil Javed and Lahore Bar Association (LBA) delegation led by its chairman Rana Intizar Hussain discussed in detail issues related to e-registration and legal cooperation here on Monday.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 21st Aug, 2023 ) :Senior Member Board of Revenue (SMBR) Nabil Javed and Lahore Bar Association (LBA) delegation led by its President Rana Intizar Hussain discussed in detail the issues related to e-registration and legal collaboration, here on Monday.
Eminent persons from legal fraternity, Director General of Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA), Lahore Deputy Commissioner and other relevant officials attended the meeting.
PLRA Director General briefed the LBA delegation on the innovative e-registration initiative. LBA’s chairman praised this transformative project, calling it a step towards digitization, which would modernize the legal landscape.
SMBR Nabil Javed assured the LBA to address the concerns raised by the legal community and recognize their central role in society. He also constituted a committee to be headed by DG PLRA to address the concerns of lawyers.
The meeting also delved into the extension of the manual notification period and discussed the issue with thoughtful consideration. Any final decision on extension of the manual registration period would be taken after careful consultation with the legal fraternity, he assured.
SMBR also revealed plans to recruit lawyers for public service through local commission. This innovative approach would involve recommendations from the President of the Bar Association, promoting collaboration between legal expertise and civic duties. He also led in organizing training seminars/sessions to enhance the skills of lawyers in the domain of registration and to provide lawyers with the latest technologies, thus fostering an environment of mutual learning and growth.
