LUCKNOW (Daily Pakistan Online) An 85-year-old man, worried about being abandoned by his children, has bequeathed his property worth one and a half crore rupees to the Uttar Pradesh government. Nathu Singh has bequeathed his body to be donated to a medical college and says his son and four daughters should not be allowed to participate in his last rites.
Nathu Singh, a resident of Muzaffarnagar, owns a house and land worth Rs. Her son works as a school teacher and lives in Saharanpur, her four daughters are married. After the death of his wife, the old man lived alone. About seven months ago, he moved to an old people’s home in his village.
The elderly man told The Times of India: ‘At this age I should have lived with my son and daughter-in-law but they did not treat me well, so I decided to transfer the property. The will also states that he has decided to donate his body for use in research and academic work.
Nathu Singh’s children are yet to come forward, said Rekha Singh, director of the old age home, saying that since he started living here six months ago, no one has come to meet him. He is very worried and is adamant about handing over his property to the state.
