Telangana Schools: Many private schools have suffered due to the closure of schools due to Corona and the conduct of online classes but the non-teaching fees. It is also known that the Telangana state government has been issuing Jivos for the last two academic years as fees have been increased. Private educational institutions, however, are preparing to recover the latest loss from the parents of the students. Increased fees by 15 to 30 percent. With this, there is a possibility of a huge increase in fees in the coming academic year. This caused concern among the parents of the students. Parents’ heads are now catching up with how school fees are falling as revenues are declining due to the corona and prices of all kinds are skyrocketing.
In this context, the Telangana Parents’ Association is preparing to block the fees of private companies. Schools are demanding legislation to regulate fees. TPA, Faculty of Technical Colleges, Forum for the Protection of the Rights of the Child, All India Parents Association organized a round table meeting on this subject. On this occasion, the government was asked to enact a law to fix fees once in three years under the auspices of a state level committee like Rajasthan.
Members strongly objected to the Tirupati Rao Committee’s recommendation that the fees be increased by ten per cent per annum. It was decided to hold a dharna on April 18 at the office of the Director of School Education for the Fees Control Act. The activity was prepared by collecting signatures from parents and giving them to public representatives.
