There was a phone conversation between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Bill Gates, where the Prime Minister appreciated the help of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) to eradicate polio in Pakistan. Appreciate the help from BMGF. Shehbaz Sharif briefed Bill Gates about the efforts of the Health Minister and his team to eradicate polio. The Prime Minister also reiterated Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen the partnership with the Foundation. Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan is determined to eradicate all types of polio. He expressed concern over new cases of polio being reported in 2022. In the conversation, Bill Gates appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to eradicate polio. Bill Gates reiterated the continuous support through his foundation to ensure the eradication of polio. Both leaders agreed to continue working together towards common goals.
