The Chief of Army Staff G-1 Taekwondo Championship will be held in Islamabad from November 6 to 8 this year.
According to details, Chief of Army Staff G-1 Taekwondo Championship will be held in Islamabad from November 6 to 8 this year for which preparations are underway in Liaquat Gymnasium Hall of Pakistan Sports Board. Many famous foreign taekwondo players will be seen in action in the three-day mega event.
According to Col (retd) Wasim Janjua, president of the Pakistan Taekwondo Federation, about 300 national athletes will also participate in Pakistan’s largest taekwondo event.
Sources said that international referees have been invited to supervise the matches of the event and teams from provinces, departments and services along with two national teams of Pakistan will participate.
The last date for registration for international and national players is October 25.
PTF President Col (retd) Wasim Janjua said that foreign teams have shown keen interest in being a part of the COSG One event.
Wasim Janjua also said that Pakistan Taekwondo Federation would nominate international and national personalities as goodwill ambassadors for the event.
Omar Saeed, President of the Asian Taekwondo Association and Honorary Vice President of the PTF, said that the World Taekwondo World and Asian Federations have welcomed the holding of this mega event in Pakistan. The event will help highlight Pakistan’s positive aspects of sports at the international level and send a positive message about Pakistan to the world.
All stakeholders including POA, PSB, Pakistan Army and Taekwondo Federation are keen to see the success of the championship.
