The city is still lagging behind the rural areas of Vadodara district in vaccinating teenagers


– The district is currently ahead even in the third precautionary dose

Vadodara:

Vadodara city and district still lags far behind the rural areas of the district in the ongoing work of vaccinating teenagers between the ages of 15 to 18 years. Vaccination of teenagers in Vadodara district is close to 100 percent. While 62.15 per cent vaccination has been done in the city so far. In Vadodara district 68502 teenagers are eligible for vaccination. Out of which 680 273 have been vaccinated. In Vadodara city, 96660 teenagers between the ages of 15 to 18 years are to be vaccinated.

In the rural areas of Vadodara district, the third precautionary dose vaccination of health workers, front line workers and elders with other ailments of 60 years and above is being carried out. It is estimated that 30726 people in the district are eligible for precautionary dose against which 15294 people have been vaccinated. While in Vadodara city 200706 people are eligible for precautionary dose out of which 24330 have been vaccinated so far.
