In Chhatarpur, a man brutally killed his wife with an axe. The incident took place on Saturday morning at Mathanikhera village in Bhagwaan police station area of the district.
According to the records, Jaibai’s father Munna Pal (20) was married to Dhaniram Pal, a resident of Ramtauria, about 13 months ago. Surendra Pal, brother of deceased Jaibai Pal, said that his sister never had any dispute after marriage. Two real sisters were married in the same family.
The deceased had come to her parents’ house on Rakshabandhan, there was a dispute about going to her in-laws’ house.
The deceased Jaybai had come to her maternal home on Rakshabandhan. The deceased’s husband Dhaniram had come to collect her on Friday afternoon. On Saturday morning at 07:30, the deceased’s brother had gone to the village to work. During this time, Dhaniram asked Jaibai to go to his in-laws’ house. He refused. There was a dispute between husband and wife regarding this matter. The dispute escalated so much that the man attacked his wife’s neck with an ax kept in the house. In this, the woman died on the spot. After this the husband Dhaniram fled from there. When the deceased’s brother came home, he saw his sister badly injured. Then the accused man had fled from there.
The accused was arrested three kilometers away
The deceased’s brother took the help of the villagers and caught the accused Dhaniram Pal, about 3 kilometers from the spot. Bhagwaan police station chief Ramswaroop Upadhyay and Ghuwara outpost chief Virendra Paraste reached the spot with their force. The deceased’s brother handed the accused over to the police. As soon as the information was received, Badamalhara SDOP Virendra Bahadur Singh also reached the spot. Police have registered a case against accused Dhaniram Pal under section 302.
