The police have arrested the accused who grabbed the mobile phone of a girl who was riding a scooter five days ago. The police have also seized the mobile phone that was looted from the accused and the motorcycle that was used in the incident. The accused ran away after snatching the girl’s mobile and his bike fell. After this people caught him and beat him fiercely.
Let us tell you that on August 29, Kali Richa Sengar, a resident of Newcity Colony, had filed a complaint at the Kotwali police station. She had told the police that on the night of August 29, she came to her home from the Maruti showroom on a scooter along with her friend and her little daughter. On the way, when he reached ICICI Bank, an unknown motorcyclist came near his scooter from behind. With a sudden jerk, he grabbed the mobile phone in his hand and tried to run away. Due to sudden haste, the girl’s car went out of control and fell. The accused’s bicycle also fell during this time and people on the road caught him. On the complaint of the girl, the police had registered a case against the unknown accused.
SP Rakesh Kumar Sagar said that under the direction of CSP Shweta Gupta, as soon as Kotwali police station in-charge inspector Anup Kumar Bhargava got information about the robbery incident, a police team from the police station was sent to the spot. The police team took action and with the help of the crowd gathered at the spot, the accused who robbed the girl’s mobile was arrested. In interrogation, he revealed that his name was Raj Singhania, son of Komal Pardi, aged 23 years, resident of Khejdachakka village, Vishvanagar police station Dharnavada hall, Bilakhedi village, police station Dharnavda. He had also sustained injuries when he slipped from the motorcycle. The police admitted him to the district hospital. On August 30, accused Raj Singhania was arrested in the case. Police have seized the girl’s looted mobile phone worth Rs 11 thousand and motorcycle number MP08ML4160 used in the incident worth Rs 60 thousand from his possession. The motorcycle seized from the defendant is being investigated as it appears suspicious. The accused Raj Singhania arrested in the case was produced in the court, from where he has been sent to jail.
