According to the Rawit Hilal Committee, the month of Ramadan has been observed in Pakistan and the first fast has been observed tomorrow.
Abdul Khair Azad, chairman of the Mazakzai Viewing Hilal Committee, announced that testimonies of moon sightings have been received in Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Swabi, Qila Saifullah and Mardan, so the first fast will be held in Pakistan tomorrow.
Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of the Central Sighting of the Crescent Committee, announced that the evidence of the sighting of the moon has been received in the country.
He said Shahadat of Chand was received from Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Swabi, Qila Saifullah and Mardan after which it was unanimously decided that tomorrow, Thursday, March 23, will be the first day of fasting in the country.
Zonal committee meetings were also held across the country to sight the moon of Ramadan.
Earlier, Punjab Zonal Committee Chairman Tahir Raza Bukhari announced that the Ramadan moon could not be sighted over the entire province including Lahore.
He said the final announcement about the moon will be made by the central observation of the crescent committee.
Apart from this, the moon of Ramadan was not sighted in Sindh and Quetta and no evidence was received.
