Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has called a meeting of the National Security Committee.

Sources say a meeting of the National Security Committee will be held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Top military and civilian leaders will sit in the meeting at the Prime Minister’s House.

Sources have said that there will be consultations on floods, security and other issues in the national security meeting, important decisions are expected in the meeting of the national security committee.

However, the Ministry of the Interior has started a high-level investigation into the hacking of important data from the Prime Minister’s House, a representative will be involved.

The joint investigation team will look into how the IT data was hacked, sources said. The JI team will be empowered to conduct investigations involving the staff of the Prime Minister’s House. There will also be investigations into devices installed in the prime minister’s house or recording from mobile phones. The investigation team will investigate which officials were present in the Prime Minister’s House at the time of the incident. Investigations will also be conducted against the officials of the Special Branch who have been working in the Prime Minister’s Secretariat for the past six months.

Sources say the movement of security personnel assigned to the Prime Minister’s House and the Prime Minister’s Office has been restricted, while mobile phones were previously not allowed in the Prime Minister’s House.

It should be remembered that two days ago the audio was revealed at the meeting held at the Prime Minister’s House, after which questions were raised regarding the security of the PM House.

In this regard, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the investigation into the matter has been started and only after the investigation it will be known whether the security of PM House has been breached or not, it should not be taken seriously at present.
