Raptors all-star guard Fred Vanville sat in Toronto’s opening-round playoff series Two-or-Die Game 6 against the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday.

Vanville suffered from left hip flexion in Game 4, left the game in the second quarter and tore his jersey in frustration on his way to the locker room.

He missed the Raptors’ 103-88 victory over the Sixers in Philadelphia on Monday, which forced them into Game 6.

VanVleet averaged 20.3 points, 6.7 assists and 4.4 rebounds this season and was named all-star for the first time. But the 28-year-old has been battling a knee injury that has left him out of 14 regular season games since late January. Nine of those were won by the Raptors.

Pascal Siakam and newcomer Scotty Barnes have taken over point guard duties during his absence.
