Finance Minister Muftah Ismail has said that the increase in petroleum prices has nothing to do with the IMF, the rise in petroleum prices is due to global inflation.

Important decisions were taken in today’s meeting of the federal cabinet. The federal finance minister while briefing the meeting said that this is the first budget when taxes have been given to the rich and relief has been given to the poor.

The Finance Minister said that the next round of talks with the IMF would be held today and tomorrow night and progress would be made in the talks.

According to sources, in today’s meeting of the federal cabinet, the cabinet also approved the issuance of sukuk bonds.

Sources say that sukuk bonds will also reduce the burden of local debt.
