According to the army, the bodies of two terrorists killed in the encounter have been recovered, but due to firing from a Pakistani post in the surrounding area, there are difficulties in recovering the body of the third terrorist. Meanwhile, the campaign is still ongoing.

The infiltration attempt and subsequent encounter comes at a time when an operation is underway to eliminate terrorists camping in the forests of Anantnag district.
The army statement further said that the three slain terrorists had tried to infiltrate from the Hathlanga forward area of ​​Uri at 6:45 am on Saturday.
The statement said that on being spotted, the terrorists started firing at the army, after which an encounter broke out and a violent exchange of fire took place.
Earlier, the Jammu and Kashmir police had said that two terrorists have been killed and the search operation is on.
Meanwhile, the Indian Army along with the Jammu and Kashmir Police resumed operations for the fourth consecutive day against terrorists who are “hiding” in the Gadole forest area of ​​Kokernag area of ​​Anantnag district.
