Toronto police are asking the public to help find a missing girl.

Police said Sion Akinpola, 12, was last seen at 6 p.m. Monday in the Bathurst Street and Wilson Street area.

She is described as having a slim build and short black hair. Police say she was wearing a white sleeveless shirt, white shorts and pink and white running shoes.

Police say a command center has been set up at 3887 Bathurst Street and they are concerned about the girl’s safety.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 416-808-3200, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), or at www.222tips.com.

Online advice and scenes can also be reported to Canada’s Missing Children resource center, Missing Children, which is operated by the Canadian Child Protection Center.
