On Saturday, the transport department conducted a check drive of buses and four-wheelers in Pipariya, Narmadapuram. Led by RTO officer Nisha Chauhan, the transport department team and air group investigation team conducted the investigation in Pipariya. Vehicles without registration plates, unauthorized designations, unauthorized horns and sirens, vehicles without documents were caught. The sudden check created panic among the bus operators. Enforcement action was taken against 32 vehicles worth Rs 25,500. RTO officer Chauhan said that in view of the upcoming election preparations, there will be continuous action against errantly driven private and taxi vehicles. On vehicles with horns and unauthorized markings, challenges will be taken continuously.
