Tristan, son of murdered Jason Hennessy, charged with violent disorder in ‘revenge’ against Sherry – The Irish Times Pi News

A 20-year-old man has been charged with violent disorder and producing a steel-handled brush as a weapon “when he took revenge” after his father was attacked and fatally wounded in a Dublin restaurant shooting on Christmas Eve.

Tristan Sherry (26) died from blunt force trauma to the head after shooting Jason Hennessy snr at Browne’s Steakhouse in Blanchardstown.

Mr Hennessy (48) had been having dinner with family and friends before the gun attack and died in hospital 11 days later.

His son, Brandon Hennessy of Sheephill Avenue, Dublin 15, was arrested on Sunday, charged and appeared before Judge Gerard Jones at Blanchardstown District Court on Monday morning.


He is accused of committing disorderly conduct by using violence or threatening to use violence against six others, causing fear for the safety of another person present and causing grievous hurt is charged with a second offense for manufacturing possible steel-handled commercial skis and brushes. injury during the commission of a violent crime.

Garda Alan Murphy said at 8.54pm on Sunday the accused made “no comment” while being charged.

Defense barrister Simon Fleming said he had no objection to bail under the conditions, but he asked that they not be read aloud during the brief hearing.

Judge Jones imposed the requested conditions and remanded the accused on bail pending the Director of Public Prosecutions’ (DPP) instructions on March 12. He also provided Mr Hennessy with legal aid, noting that he was not employed.

The man in the blue-green tracksuit did not appear in court and has yet to enter a plea.

He is the seventh person charged in the investigation.
