Asansol: A group of miscreants hijacked a trailer loaded with 41 tons of iron rods at Kalipahari in Asansol on their way to Jharkhand from Mejia in Bankura, posing as GST officers. But the last was not saved. Asansol North police arrested four accused involved in the incident after investigating CCTV footage and phone numbers. A businessman has also been arrested. Police recovered 36 tonnes of 41-tonne iron rods from the warehouse of a trader named Tapas Mandal, a resident of Andal Police Station, Haripur.
