There was commotion over the theft of Rs 2 lakh in a road bus at Nainwan, Bundi, a short distance from the DSP office and in front of the Tehsil office. The old man was on his way home with the money after getting the land registered at one o’clock on Wednesday afternoon. Only then did the unknown thief carry out the incident. The incident came to light when a boy rushed down from the moving bus and started running away. When the old man saw the bag, he found that the money was missing. The victim has filed a complaint at the Nainwan Police Station. Police are investigating on the basis of CCTV footage.
Ram Swaroop Saini, son of Bhanwarlal Saini, caste Mali, resident of Matunda Road, Bundi, had come to Nainwa on Wednesday in connection with a land deal. According to the agreement, he went to Bundi in a road bus and kept the two lakh rupees he got after getting the land registered in a bag. When the old man boarded the bus, a boy was sitting on a seat. The old man asked him to go forward and sat down. Meanwhile, the boy jumped from the moving bus and started running away. This scene was seen by other people along with the people traveling in the bus. When he saw the boy running away like this the old man became suspicious and when he looked at the bag it was wide open and the money was missing.
When the old man told the people traveling in the bus about the theft, there was an uproar. The old man got down from the bus and searched for the boy but could find no trace of him. The elderly person has complained about this incident at the Nainwan Police Station.
The old man says that the money came from the store where the registration was made and was counted and kept in a bag. After that boarded the bus. Regarding the incident, it is speculated that the thief may have seen the old man counting or keeping the money and since then he would have been looking for an opportunity to keep an eye on the old man. Currently, the police are busy searching for the alleged thief by checking the footage from CCTV cameras installed nearby, including the bus shelter.
