Police said on Saturday that two young sisters, both under the age of five, were allegedly raped by a 25-year-old man in the nearby Badshahpur area. Accused Adil, a laborer from UP who hails from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh and is living as a white man in a building here, however, was caught by the people in the middle of his movement, which led him to “shout”. He was later handed over to police.
Police said Adil lured the two sisters, who were playing near his rented house, to his room in the same house under the pretext of giving them candies and started raping them. However, the mother of the girls, hearing the cries of her daughters, rushed to her room and caught the accused in the middle of her act, police said.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Vikas Koshkak said that after hearing the commotion, people also gathered there, grabbed Adil and handed him over to the police after beating him. He said that after receiving the information, the police had also reached the spot and rushed the bleeding girls to the hospital for treatment.
A case has been registered against the accused under various provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act. He was produced in a magisterial court on Saturday and was remanded in police custody for one day for questioning, he said.
The ACP said that the FIR in this case was registered on the complaint of the girl’s father, the accused has confessed his guilt.
